In one way, it was a great day. In another way, it was long and tiring and at times a bit frustrating. But we won't discuss that way at the moment. GREAT NEWS...The greatest website in the world, with over 7 million hits since it's inception, POETRI.COM is finally done. I had a professional do his thug thizzle to the site and it looks DOPE!!! Spencer, you are the man...don't let anyone tell you anything different. And folks, if you need a dope site done...look my man, Spencer up. His contact is on the links page. It is gonna take a little time to get used to having a functional site again. Poetri.com has been up for over five years, but really hasn't been in use for about the last two years or so. GLAD to have you back POETRI.COM.
Another site of mine debuted (that doesn't look right) this week. The wonderful, the incredible, the amazing SPOKENFUNK.TV! And the crowd goes wild! You should be going wild right now. If you are not, then please get out of this stadium. This site was done by the beautiful J-Boogie. Also known as my wife...ahem! Yes, she has skillz like that. It is a community site. Cause Spoken Funk is a fricken community,doggone it! So go to it and join it and become part of the family, doggonne it!!!
Maybe this is why I am exausted on the freeway. I am doing and promoting a gazillion things. The radio show, the tv show, the website, the other website, the other, other website, my facebook, my myspace, my twitter, myself, my adidas....my my my...and that is only about half of it, Johnny Gil. I forgot about the weekly show, Spoken Funk, the tv show Spoken Funk, and before this Tuesday Da' Poetry Lounge. Whew. I am tired just thinking about it. And don't forget that I still have a family to raise. Two baby girls, a nanny and a wife to feed. How is that working for you? I need to get a stable hustle. This jumping around stuff is getting old! Get me something stable, Lord. I don't really care at this point which of the million things I am doing that turns out to be the stable one, (although the TV show is kinda like my favorite) I just need some stability in my life. Speaking of Da' Lounge. Yes, I said it up ther awhile back. This Tuesday is my last Tuesday. I am not eager to rewrite the whole long thing I wrote about three weeks ago. But basically...it is time to go. Time to close this door and wait and see what new door GOD opens up for me. I am excited. I know that HE has big plans for me. Yay. Okay, I am almost positive I had some other stuff to talk about...but I am just now getting back into my "writing my journal every night type of thing" and it is gonna take me a second to get back into the hang of things. I am enjoying it though. I love the release. A brother has to release. I seem to have to release more than others, but nevertheless, it is still a release...no matter how big or small...why is this starting to sound nasty?
Thank you Lord for writing. Thank you Lord for inventing Blogs. Thank you, Lord for giving me the insight to know that this would help me. I love you. I thank you. I need you.
